![]() You want task assignment emails to fly across automatically, and timesheets to update daily without manual triggers.Īll of that may require you to write custom scripts or bring in a developer, to achieve something that most project management apps offer by default. If you’ve attended an Excel Masterclass, you may know where to begin, everyone else will probably scour Google for hours.įrom a project management standpoint, you need automation on a daily basis. ![]() In 1993, Microsoft introduced support for VBA or Macros in Excel to open up avenues for automation.Īlmost three decades later, it’s still hard to automate rather simple things in Excel. ![]() Therefore, team management software easily supersedes Excel in shared environments. And if you bring in other tools to make up for Excel’s lack of collaboration, you risk losing productivity due to too many apps. It’s simply too hard to achieve the same if you’re only using Excel as a project management tool. ProofHub helps teams overcome collaboration challenges with a unified interface. There are several instances when teams are communicating on a video call, taking down notes on chat, and sharing screens to ideate together. Especially since the remote way of working has popularized. Today, teams require extensive and dynamic collaboration. While that’s not too bad when you’re working with a small team of 3-5 people, it becomes hectic as the team expands. You’ll move one row, save the changes and mention comments in the email, hoping that the recipient will get what you meant. The older 20 versions of Excel that are still quite popular, don’t have cloud collaboration features. Mind you that collaboration is only available in the newer cloud-enabled versions. In the new Microsoft 365 (rebranded from Office 365) there are several collaboration features such as co-authoring and inline comments. However, there is a nicer workaround: Namely, when the HST-2 container gets reloaded, the CXF controller is reloaded as well. ![]() A restart of the application (no rebuild needed because JRebel did replace the classes) is then needed. ![]() Nanoleaf truly gives you flexibility to customize their product. Diving into a section of lights allows you to adjust brightness, colours, patterns, frequency of colour change, and more. From here you can turn all lights in a room off and on. The touch feature is surprisingly responsive. Adjusting these options allow you to change what happens when touch a light panel such as making tiles turn off with touch, changing colours, adjusting colour change frequency and more. In the app, you can adjust the touch panel functions which just adds to the creativity you can put into these lights. It’s strange because Nanoleaf has clearly spent a great deal of time designing a nice clean polished looking product and of all the things, the cable ends up being the displeasing visual item. The power wire was bundled up in the box so it stays rather wavy, they could have included a simple bracket the wire could clip into. ![]() I’m disappointed that Nanoleaf’s products are rather expensive and to top it off, they don’t provide simple wire cable management. In fact, you can even setup games like whack-a-mole and Pacman, which is wild but fun. Nanoleaf encourages you to touch the panels to interact and change the colours. What’s great is that there is no fear of breaking the light as the surface isn’t glass, it feels like a type of plastic. If the lights weren’t unique enough already, it gets even better. It’s not difficult but just requires a bit of work. I haven’t taken any tiles off the wall yet, but Nanoleaf has some videos regarding that. Nanoleaf recommends not using the double sided tape on surfaces that are unique such as having stucco, their website has more information regarding that. After placing a tile on the wall, you just press with a bit of force at the center of each tile. Double sided sticky tape is provided with each panel and they’re strong at keeping tiles on the wall. I used my handy small Swiffer first and then a dry cloth on the wall I mounted my panel lights. Nanoleaf recommends cleaning the wall to ensure any residue and dust is gone. I went with a random design and with the rest of my basement lights turned off, they look amazing. The beauty of these panels is that no matter what you do, they’ll look good. Here’s the thing about setup, you can set up a symmetrical type of pattern or just a random design. The size of the panel can be found in the picture below per each panel type. You need a smarter kit (kind of like a starter kit) per a new outlet connection since it’ll include the power supply unit unless you purchase tiles and the power supply separately. The shapes can only connect over 2.4GHz WiFi signal and doesn’t allow Ethernet connection. Mini triangles consume a mere 0.54W a tile, allow 77 panels per 42W PSU and 500 panels per controller. ![]() Triangles consume 1.5W per unit, allowing 28 panels per 42W PSU and 500 units per controller. You can 21 hexagons per 42W PSU and 500 of them per controller. The hexagons consume 2W a panel which isn’t a lot unless you get a lot. Especially as you can mix between 16M+ colours. However, that’s not their purpose, the bright beautiful vibrant mixed colours they can display is their primary function. They can get fairly white in colour but not their kelvin rating isn’t that high. The higher the kelvin, the closer you get to white light which mimics bright sunlight, if that’s your goal then you’ll be disappointed. You can adjust the brightness level easily in the app, light touch control panel or by using your voice with a smart home assistant.Īll shape designs have a kelvin rating of 1,500 to 6,500. You also get to roll up gifts from your "fans" - the requesters of the particular katamari you are rolling. The point of the game is to roll everything (animals, food, people and even eventually building and the sky!) into a ball to recreate the cosmos. It's colorful, imaginative and just chuck full of wackiness! My niece really loved the soundtrack too - she couldn't stop shaking her little booty!Ībout the game: if you have ever wondered what it might like to be the creator of the heavens and earth - this is the game for you! You are the prince trying to rebuild the cosmos with the help of his cousins (which are all playable characters once you have rolled them up). Wow - this game is just too much fun! Even my 4 year old niece loved trying to play this game. All of these elements add up for a fun time. There are many funny details, such as a character making a copy of himself, or seeing yourself projected onto a TV screen in a storefront. At one point, you're rolling up the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall, then you get over to the States and roll up the Hollywood sign. You can also play different "cousins" or princes and play with another player (the only catch is you have to roll the katamari at the same time, in the same direction). As you conquer each level, a new fan appears. If they want you to play their game, they call out to you. It begins with a field of fans, or different characters. After you succeed on a level, there is a possiblity of going back and doing a better job. This game is much more involved than the first. Slowly the ball grows and becomes enormous enough to pick up buildings and giant octopi. At first, you can only pick up tiny objects. The game is simple: you roll a ball around and pick up objects. I've never been a big gamer- I'm a mom in my 30s- but the video store guy recommended Katamari as a first game for my 5 year old. I bought this game after conquering the first Katamari. Just don't forget your eyedrops, and always remember to blink. However, I have not had the opportunity to try it yet, so I can't say. I also hear that the co-op mode is a blast, if not frustrating, as you and a friend team up to roll a katamari together. Combining the easy-to-learn controls, the challenging gameplay, and the screams of thousands of innocent people as you roll them up, and you're all set for one heck of a party. I've had plenty of experience with this from the d***ed campfire stage.)Īll in all, this game is a must-have. (If you don't, the King of All Cosmos, with his giant Bulge of Doom, will zap you with laser beams from his eyes while little Earthlings mock you. In WLK, charging your katamari has become easier, but it's basically required in some missions for you to finish on time. ![]() It has more to do with the charge-and-roll mechanism. It's not anything to do with the controls, as they fairly remained intact. In KD, it was fairly easy to finish your star-making missions. Not only are there more missions, but they actually require skill to complete. Well, with We Love Katamari, the latter problem has not been fixed, (in fact, I think it's gotten worse.) but the lovely people at NAMCO have made full completion of your Cosmos more, let's say, ENGAGING. But that's because apparently I don't blink while playing Katamari. :D ) and it has a tendency to make your eyes feel like they're on fire after playing for a few hours. (Or, in WLK's case, planets.) Katamari Damacy was an extremely fun game whose only shortcomings were its extremely short finishing time, (I was done in about two hours, but replay value is priceless. For those who are familiar with the first game, Katamari Damacy, the goal is essentially the same: roll up as much stuff as you can in the smallest amount of time so your crazy daddy, the ever-creepy/awesome King of All Cosmos, can set it no fire and turn it into a star that he knocked out of the sky. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I like to come home, kick off my shoes, and play me some Katamari. ![]() ![]() The best way to increase income from this office business is by upgrading the office facilities.
